  Cheetos & Other Snacks Might Be Banned but Will It Affect The US Lawmakers sent Governor Gavin Newsom a bill to ban schools from distributing or selling products containing six common food dyes.  The food dyes included in the bill are Red 40, Yellow 6, Blue 1, Blue 2, Green 3. The purpose of the food additives is to help products maintain their color, taste, and texture. If the bill is passed, the ban would go into effect at the beginning in 2028 which is a few years from now. The bill applies to Cailfornia schools for now.
